State Meeting:
·
AABC Rosters, with attached
player birth certificates, for Junior Federal and Senior Federal teams are due at the June 1 State
meeting. Areas need to provide
these to Pat or Tracy prior to June 1.
State Rosters/Waivers: All remaining State Rosters and Waivers were turned in tonight.
Team (11-Player) Waivers: The Board approved all waivers for less than 12-player rosters with the expectation that all Areas will continue their efforts to bring these rosters to 12 players before 50% of league games have been played. It was noted that waivers were only requested (correctly) for National level teams since Lakeridge was able to bring their Senior American team to 12 players.
Board Vacancy – South Field Rep: The Board is still looking for a person to fill the South Field Rep position. The nominee must come from the southern portion of the District (south of Canby).
Umpire List: The Board distributed a list of all umpires who passed the CCJBA certification test this year. These lists need to be provided to the Area umpire schedulers as soon as possible. It was noted that some umpires listed multiple Areas where they are willing to work. In these cases, no Area is listed due to space limitations on the document. Umpire schedulers should be instructed to call the people from their general Area even if they have no specific Area listed.
Junior Federal – Vancouver Team: Willie reported that CCJBA has received a request to allow a Junior Federal team from Vancouver to participate in the CCJBA league since Tri-Co does not have any other Junior Federal teams. The Board has some questions about whether current insurance policies held by the affected Areas allow interstate travel for players. All Areas with Junior Federal teams were asked to check their insurance policies to determine if interstate travel is covered, and to report back to John Garcia by the end of the week.
Q&A: The Board fielded a few general questions from the Areas.
